Sarah Silverman Earns Her Star


The 2,649th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was awarded on November 9, 2019 to Sarah Silverman. Sarah who provides the voice of Vanellope von Schweetz in the upcoming Walt Disney Animaiton "Ralph Breaks the Internet" received her star which is located at 6600 Hollywood Blvd in front of the Hollywood Toy and Costume Shop. Guest speakers for the ceremony included co-star John C. Reilly (the voice of Ralph in the film) and Jimmy Kimmel.

Silverman who is a two time Emmy Award winning actress has an impressive list of accomplishments. She is the creator, executive producer and host of "I Love You, America" as well as voicing several current animated shows. Her stage credits include several stand up specials including her latest "Sarah Silverman: A Speck of Dust" on Netflix. In the film world, Silverman boasts an extensive list of well known and loved movies. Her most recent critically acclaimed film “Battle of the Sexes,” was based on the true story of the 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Additional film credits include “The Book of Henry,” Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping,” “Ashby,” “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” “Take This Waltz,” “Gravy,” “Peep World,” “I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With,” “School of Rock,” “There’s Something About Mary,” “The Way of the Gun” and the Oscar®-nominated smash hit “Wreck-It Ralph.”

Sarah Silverman is also a published writer with the release of her memoir "The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee" which was on the New York Times Best Seller.
