Dumbo, the flying elephant is on his way!

Walt Disney Studios brings our favorite flying elephant to life on the big screen this month. The animated version first released in 1941 took a bullied and funny looking baby elephant and sent him soaring to fame. Winning an Oscar® for best scoring of a musical picture and nomination for best original song for “Baby Mine, Dumbo quickly won the hearts of Disney fans young and old.

The new live action film brings back much of the story line along with a star studded cast. Circus owner, Max Medici (Danny Devito) who recruits Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) a former circus star and his two children, Milly (Nico Parker and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for the newborn elephant. Unfortunately, Dumbo's oversized ears make him the laughingstock of the circus world. Upon discovering that Dumbo can fly, Max uses this opportunity to bring his struggling circus back into the limelight. When an entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton) offers to make Dumbo a huge star as part of his new venture, Dreamland, alongside aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green), it seems Dumbo has made it to the big times. Until Holt and the children discover dark secrets surrounding Dreamland and embark on a rescue mission to free Dumbo.

Directed by the amazing Tim Burton along with producers, Justin Springer, Ehren Kruger, Katterli Fraunefleder and Derek Frey, and based on the screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Dumbo flies into theaters, March 29, 2019.
