Updated: May 19, 2020

Emilio Estevez is back as Coach Bombay on the original series of "The Mighty Ducks", coming to Disney +. Also joining the cast are Swayam Bhatia, Taegen Burns, Julee Cerda, Bella Higginbotham, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Maxwell Simkins and De’Jon Watts.

The 10 episode series shows the Mighty Ducks as an official powerhouse hockey team playing competitively. 12 year old hockey player, Evan and his mom reach out to Coach Bombay when Evan is cut from the team to put together a new team of misfits and with his help discover the love of the sport.

“Once a Duck, always a Duck!,” said Emilio Estevez, “and after 25 years, I am delighted to lace up my skates, put on Coach Bombay's jacket and return to play the iconic character for this new chapter in ‘The Mighty Ducks’ franchise. Likewise, I am thrilled to return to my old stomping grounds with my friends at Disney and Steve Brill, the original creator of the franchise, to join them on their exciting new platform, Disney+.”

The upcoming series brings a new group of players including Swayam Bhatia (Succession), Taegen Burns (Dumplin'), Bella Higginbotham (Troop Zero), Kiefer O'Reilly (DC's Legends of Tomorrow), De'Jon Watts (Black Panther), and Maxwell Simkins (The Book of Henry).
