PANDORA: The World of Avatar

Memorial Weekend launched the opening of Walt Disney World's new and amazing PANDORA: The World of Avatar. As part of a select group of invited sales and media guests, I had the opportunity to visit and explore the new rides and beautiful sites of Pandora a few days before the grand opening.

Located in Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom Park, we were greeted by some of the most incredible sites. From floating trees to colorful plants and waterfalls, the pictures do not begin to show the true beauty and uniqueness. Along with the one of a kind views, there are currently two attractions for your enjoyment.

The Na'vi River Journey is a boat ride through a bioluminescent rainforest. The experience is not only relaxing for your body but also for your mind as you enjoy the tranquil ride in a cool setting.

Avatar Flight of Passage is the opposite of a relaxing ride. From the moment you enter the attraction, you are transported into a unique experience where you will be paired with an avatar and experience an unbelievable ride on a banshee. After going through a process of pairing and being assigned your avatar you are secured into a type of motorcycle where you are then taken on the ride of your life. Feeling the body movements and breathing of the "banshee" and the wind and water on your face is something that can only be truly appreciated when experienced first hand. Although it has been compared to Soarin' and Universal's Harry Potter experience, Avatar Flight of Passage brings so much more as the genius minds of the Disney Team once again hit it out of the ballpark.

Not only with the attractions, but everything about Pandora has been thoroughly researched and analyzed to bring to life a "world" unlike any other. Pandora: The World of Avatar delivers on its promise to amaze and delight guests and raises the bar for future attractions to new heights.

What is your countdown to visit Pandora: The World of Avatar?
