Two-time Academy Award®-winner Pete Docter, co-director Kemp Powers and producer Dana Murray bring the story of Joe Gardner, a middle-school teacher whose true passion is to be a jazz player.
Set in one of my favorite cities, New York, the backdrop provides the perfect setting for Joe to to go after his dream, but just as he is about to make it a reality, he meets and teams up with "22" who helps Joe discover the true meaning of having "Soul"
Original Jazz music for the film is being written by well known musician Jon Batiste. Nine Inch Nails musicians, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross add an original score to bring together the real and soul worlds.
The vocal talents of "Soul" include top notch actors - Jaime Fox as Joe Gardner and Tina Fey as 22 along with Phylicia Rshad, Ahmir Questlove Thompson and Daveed Diggs.
"Soul" arrives in theaters - June 2020 - just in time for Summer.
